My name is Paul Liptak, C.E.C. and I am the Executive Chef for Belleair Country Club located in Belleair, Florida. I am a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and received my certification from the American Culinary Federation. I have worked for BCC for about a year and a half and have thoroughly enjoyed being able to incorporate new ideas and menu items at the Club.
Belleair Country Club has been a private, member-owned country club since 1987. The Club has about 1,300 memberships, with a high interest and participation in our food and beverage. We operate four restaurants, two on the first floor of the Clubhouse and two on the second floor of the Clubhouse, along with two snack shacks on the golf courses and food and beverage service by the swimming pool at our Sports Center. We serve breakfast and lunch seven days a week, and dinner service six nights a week. In addition, we host many special events throughout the year for our membership and for outside parties. We have about 35 back of house employees in the Food and Beverage Department (including cooks, utility, etc.) and do an average of $3,200,000 in food revenue annually.
The Club’s Culinary Department has struggled with exponential membership growth and the issues of maintaining constant food and beverage services through several venues and banquets. In the summer of 2020, we updated the main kitchen with a lot of new equipment, including Firex.
The challenges for BCC
We needed a multipurpose cookers capable of increasing our efficiency in the kitchen, making any cooking process as simple as possible.
I chose Firex due to its multipurpose uses and ultimate convenience. It has greatly improved consistency and efficiency.
